Elmore Family Watterson (Chapter 6 - The Clubs)(GUMBALL & DARWIN)The moment Gumball and Darwin stepped foot into the Tropical T, they were immediately impressed with the whole setting. Up above, there was a LED screen that covered the entire ceiling, displaying the Tropical T title in black letters with a sparkling gold background that helped brighten up the place. Down below was a polished black floor decorated with gold glitter, oval-shaped glass tables surrounded by black cushioned chairs and booths resting upon similar-colored rugs, and dark gold palm trees painted on the yellow walls. The entire place was packed with youths either conversing with one another at their tables or walking around to check everything the club had to offer. As always, Darwin captured every moment on his cell phone, taking pictures and filming videos. “Wow!” Gumball exclaimed. “I’m loving the look of this place!” “Me too!” Darwin agreed. “Oh, you haven’t seen everything yet,” Little Cato smiled at the younger boys. Wander’s face lit up at the Ventrexian’s statement. “I think this calls for a personal tour for the two new faces!” The Watterson brothers looked at each other, then back at the Star Nomad, grinning in anticipation. “Sure, we don’t mind,” Gumball answered, Darwin nodding in agreement. “We’ll be right behind you guys,” Anne told them. “Yeah!” Manny and Frida chimed in. “Alrighty then, let’s go!” Wander happily led the way as the group of kids followed after him. “As you already noticed,” the Tropical T worker began. “…our ceiling is a ginormous screen that displays the club name in all its glory! However, did you know that it can change into multiple colors when it’s time to dance?” “No way!” Gumball and Darwin cried out in amazement as they gazed at the ceiling screen above. “I know, isn’t it exciting?!” Wander agreed. “You guys should’ve seen it when they played Michael Jackson!” Frida told the Watterson boys. “It was crazy awesome!” Manny emphasized. “As a matter of fact,” Wander paused in the middle of his tracks. “…we’re standing on one of the dance floors right now!” “Oh!” Gumball and Darwin glanced down at the floor, noticing how spacious the area in particular was. The younger brother lifted up his eyes when he caught sight of a disk jockey stage on the left, two surround sound speakers sitting on both sides of it. “Is that where the DJ plays the music, Mr. Wander?” “Indeed it is!” The chipper alien answered. “Our local musician, DJ Suki, plays some of the jammiest songs to listen to!” As if on cue, a small red Troll with orange dreadlock hair and white headphones popped up from behind the turntable along with her blue Wooferbug, a small cassette tape in her hand. She was the famous DJ Suki of the Tropical T. “Howdy, DJ!” Wander called out to the Troll, catching her attention. “What’s next on the playlist?” DJ Suki smiled widely at the green hat-wearing alien. “It’s a surprise, but it’s a classic everyone around here knows and loves!” “Then we’re definitely looking forward to it!” Anne happily responded, winking and pointing a finger gun at the tiny musician. “You know it!” The Pop Troll returned the gesture. Next, Wander turned his gaze to the right and gestured to the next feature, Gumball and Darwin’s eyes following where he was pointing at. “Over here is the food and snack bar, so if you’re ever hungry for anything, you can go right over there and tell the workers what you want. Or one of us will come straight to your table to give you menus and then bring over your food.” The Food and Snack Bar closely resembled a concession stand with yellow neon lights on the silver overhead displaying its name, and a wide rectangular counter with a silver counter top and black bricks on the front with six black stools surrounding it, which were currently occupied by youngsters waiting on their food. Behind the counter were stands of chips, candy, drinks, and a variety of other items, along with mini fridges and ovens that either kept the food cold or warm. “Hey Wander, we got more guests joining the club?” One of the workers at the bar turned around and called out from behind the counter, referring to Gumball and Darwin. He was a 15-year-old Latino-American teenage boy with a mole on his right cheek, wearing the same yellow Tropical T shirt as Wander with a red hoodie tied around his waist; his name was Marco Diaz. “We sure do, Marco!” The Star Nomad beamed at his coworker. “They’ll be sitting with us just to let you know,” Little Cato told the older teen. “Great!” Marco smiled at the news as he and two Minions alongside him handed some food over to three kids named Margo Gru, Lexi Kubota, and Gratuity “Tip” Tucci, along with an alien Boov named Oh. “I’ll send Star over to you guys in a little bit.” Wander and the group of kids continued to move forward, the former gesturing to the left before they went any further. “And if you ever have to use it, the bathrooms are straight across from the turntable stage all the way to our left.” The Watterson brothers saw the very two doors that were separately labeled as “Boys” and “Girls” in dark gold lettering. Afterwards, they continued to follow after the cheerful Tropical T worker, their new friends trailing behind them. More booths and tables were on the other side of the club, which all made way for some double glass doors with the title “Game and TV Room” strewn across. This immediately piqued Gumball and Darwin’s interest, as Wander had noticed when he turned around and stood in front of the doors to face the kids. “And last but not least is the Tropical T’s Game and TV Room, where you can play video games in the TV booths and watch movies on the big screen with your friends.” The Watterson brothers gasped with sparkles in their eyes. “CAN WE CHECK INSIDE?!” “We sure can!” The green-hatted alien smiled widely, stepping aside to open one of the glass doors for the youths he guided throughout the entire place. “Right this way!” Gumball and Darwin dashed inside, much to the amusement of Anne, Little Cato, Manny and Frida, who strolled in after them. Wander closed the door as he entered the room himself. As the blue cat and goldfish observed, the Game and TV Room was a tad bit smaller than the main club area, but was still spacious enough to fit a large number of youngsters in there. The walls were of the same yellow color and instead of the sparkly, polished black floor, there was a black rug that covered the perimeter, the large golden Tropical T title embroidered in the middle. Five TV booths lined up against the walls on both the far left and right, each with black cushions on the inside, and a large flatscreen TV was installed in the middle of the room that was currently playing The Avengers movie. Because of how popular the superhero film was, every single kid in the room was sitting in black bean bag chairs with snacks and drinks in their hands, which came from the vending machines that sat on both sides of the glass door entrance. “Gumball? Darwin?” As the Watterson brothers turned their attention to the source of the voice, they immediately recognized who it was. “Lincoln?” The buck-toothed boy they met earlier on the Lido Deck smiled widely at the newcomers. “You guys actually made it!” Clyde, who was sitting next to Lincoln, turned around and was just as elated to see them. “Hey, you guys!” “Hey, Clyde!” Gumball and Darwin greeted him back. Wander and the four teens walked over to the boys, watching the exchange between them. “I take it you guys already know each other?” The Star Nomad questioned with a grin on his face. “Yep!” Gumball responded. “We met in front of Kronk’s Burger Joint when we first got on the ship.” While the 12-year-old cat was speaking, Lincoln and Clyde noticed the new attire on him and his younger brother compared to when they first met them. “I’m loving the new look on you guys by the way,” the white-haired boy stated. Clyde nodded in agreement. “Me too.” Gumball and Darwin smiled widely at the compliments. “Thanks!” “We got them from the Style Shores store.” Lincoln’s eyes grew wide. “The same store my sister Leni works at?” “That’s right,” the older Watterson brother admitted. “We met her and told her that we knew you and Clyde. She even helped pick out some vacation clothes for our whole family too.” The Loud boy was pleased at the news. “That’s good to know.” “We went to the Candy Cavern as well!” Darwin spoke up next. “And the older kids we met there offered to bring us here. In fact, they’re right behind us.” When Lincoln and Clyde caught sight of the individuals Darwin was referring to, their faces lit up when they saw it was Anne, Little Cato, Manny and Frida. “Hey dudes!” Frida greeted them. “Told you we would be back in 15 minutes,” Manny smiled. “Hey, you guys!” Lincoln greeted back. “We came in here while waiting for you all to come back,” Clyde added. “By the way,” Little Cato began as he glanced around the room. “…where are the others?” The Loud boy pointed towards the front. “They’re sitting all the way over there closest to the TV since those were one of the few seats available when we came into the room.” Wander saw the individuals he was referring to. “How’s about I go get them for you all?” Anne smiled at the Star Nomad’s request. “Sure! Thanks, Wander.” The Tropical T worker went straight to the front row seats and tapped one of the kids on their shoulder, catching their attention. As he whispered to them, three more heads turned towards him and altogether, the four individuals followed after Wander to the same place where the Watterson brothers and their newfound friends stood. “Hey, Anne!” “Cato, you’re back!” “Manny! Frida!” “How was your trip to the candy store?” The first figure was a small pink 11-year-old humanoid frog who wore a forest green hat with light green goggles, a maroon jacket over a striped green shirt, black shorts, light blue sneakers with stripes, and a face mask resting on his chin. The second figure was a 12-year-old plus-sized Hawaiian girl with straight black hair in a low ponytail that rested on her right shoulder, complemented by a red-and-white hibiscus flower on the right side of her head. She wore a red floral cardigan sweater over a white shirt, knee-length jeans, and red sandals. The third figure was a short blue koala-dog(?) with large ears, big black eyes, and a large dark blue nose. The only article of clothing he wore was a white Hawaiian shirt with red leaf patterns. The fourth figure was a 13-year-old ornate box turtle with teal green skin and yellow circles on his shoulders and legs. His entire ninja apparel was orange-coded, from his mask to his doodled knee pads, along with black shorts and two stickers on his shell (a neon pink triangle on the upper right and a neon blue lightning bolt on the lower left). Just like Gumball, Darwin, Lincoln, and Clyde, the former two individuals wore the white wristbands with the Seven Seas logo to signify them being 12 or under. “Our trip went by smoothly,” Anne smiled. “In fact, we even brought some more company to join us.” As the Thai-American girl introduced the Watterson boys, they both grinned and waved at the four new faces they were meeting. “Hello! I’m Gumball Watterson!” “And I’m Darwin Watterson! Gumball and I are brothers.” The pink frog smiled back and returned the gesture. “Hello there, Gumball and Darwin. My name is Sprig Plantar.” “I’m Lilo Pelekai,” the Hawaiian girl answered. “My name Stitch,” the blue koala-dog alien affirmed. “Lilo’s best friend. Nice to meet you.” “Michaelangelo Hamato. But you can call me Mikey.” “Alright!” Frida cheered. “Now that we’re all together, let’s chat with each other over some lunch!” Manny nodded in agreement. “Yeah, I’m starving!” Lincoln and Clyde got up from their bean bag seats and stood alongside their friend group. “I’m ready when you all are!” “So am I!” Wander beamed at the youths’ enthusiasm. “It’s so nice to see everyone get along. I’ll go hold the door for you all on your way out.” “Thanks, Wander,” Little Cato thanked the green hat-wearing alien who made way for him and the others through the Game and TV Room doorway. Once everyone was back in the main area of the Tropical T, the group searched for the nearest tables they could sit at until Lincoln caught sight of two glass tables on the right, six vacant chairs surrounding each of them. “Hey, you guys. There’s a spot over there where we can all fit.” The other kids glanced at the exact spot the buck-toothed boy pointed to. “Great eye, Lincoln!” Anne remarked as they all headed to their selected area, settling in their seats. The first table had Anne, Sprig, and Lincoln sitting across from Manny, Frida, and Clyde while the second table had Gumball, Darwin, and Mikey sitting across from Little Cato, Lilo, and Stitch. “Alrighty then, now that you’re all seated…” Wander observed before looking towards the other side of the club and waving his hand in the air. “Hey, Sylvia! We got more hungry kids here!” In less than 10 seconds, a figure approached the two tables as she held several food menus in her hands. She was a light blue Zbornak with a big floppy tuft of raspberry red hair on her head which matched the tuft of fur on the tip of her long tail, a black rein around her muzzle and the standard yellow Tropical T shirt; she was Sylvia, Wander’s tough-as-nails best friend/steed. “Hey Wander. More hungry rascals, huh?” She questioned in a light-hearted teasing tone. “Yep! Just these two tables right here,” he gestured to the group of youths. Counting how many there were, the Zbornak went around and handed out the menus, each of the kids voicing their gratitude in return. She stood right next to Wander after finishing her task. “Okay, your waiter will be arriving shortly to take your orders,” Sylvia informed the group. “So, take all the time you need to decide what you want.” “Hello there!” Out of nowhere, a figure popped up right next to the extraterrestrials, a pencil in one hand and a notepad in the other. She was a fair-skinned 15-year-old girl with long blonde hair in a ponytail and pink hearts on both her cheeks, and she wore the yellow Tropical T shirt, knee-length blue jeans, and blue sandals, along with a wand in her pocket; her name was Star Butterfly. “Marco told me there were more guests in the club, so I got here as soon as I could,” she told Wander and Sylvia before turning to the kids with a bright smile. “Are you all ready to order?” Mikey caught sight of some Minions coming into the Tropical T with a cart of freshly baked calzones, which made his eyes sparkle in hunger. “Oh! How about those pizza calzones?” The ninja turtle questioned his friends as he pointed at the food. “Sure, I can go with that,” Anne agreed. The rest of the kids wanted the same thing as they voiced their orders. Star wrote everything down on her notepad. “12 pepperoni calzones it is! I’ll be right back.” The blonde teenager was gone for 10 seconds before running back to the tables with 12 plates of pizza calzones floating in the air thanks to her trusty wand. “Here you are!” Star announced as she sat the plates in front of each kid, the smell of the freshly baked food making their stomachs growl. “Thanks!” The group of twelve responded. “No problem. Enjoy your meals!” At that, the hyper teenage girl left to attend to her other duties, Wander and Sylvia following behind her. “Have fun you all!” “See you kids later.” The entire friend group immediately dined on their food once the club workers left, and they all fell into a state of bliss from the cheesy, meat-filled calzones they bit into. While eating, Gumball and Darwin’s new friends decided that this was the perfect opportunity to get to know each other better. “So,” Manny spoke up first. “…you guys want to talk about how each of us got here on the ship?” The other kids lit up at the idea, voicing their agreement. The Mexican boy laid his eyes on the blue cat and goldfish who were sitting at the table next to his. “Gumball, Darwin! Do you guys want to go first?” The Watterson boys briefly looked at each other before turning back to Manny, the older brother shrugging his shoulders. “Sure, we don’t mind.” “Yeah!” The younger one agreed. All eyes within the group were now on them as they eagerly leaned in to hear their story. Gumball was the one to start it off. “Okay, so it was on a typical day when me, Darwin, and our sister Anais, who’s in the Kids Kove right now, came home from school. My brother and I were watching TV when we saw the Seven Seas sweepstakes commercial appear on the screen.” Darwin’s eyes sparkled when his turn came up. “We saw all this amazing stuff the cruise ship had, like the buffet, water park, and kids’ clubs! Not only that, but Mickey Mouse and his friends were hosting the whole thing, too!” “So when we saw the deadline, we immediately signed our whole family up for it. We managed to win the tickets and now we’re here.” “Cool!” Manny smiled. “Awesome!” Frida gave the Watterson brothers a thumbs up. The other youths gave them positive feedback as well before Lincoln volunteered to speak next. “Some of you might already know this, but my dad was scouted at his own restaurant by Captain Mickey Mouse so he can serve as one of the chefs on this ship. Even some of my older sisters got recommended when they told the captain about their own skills. If they succeed in their job training, me and my whole family will get a free cruise vacation while my dad and sisters work here for the whole summer! Oh yeah, and some of my younger sisters are in the Kids Kove right now.” “As for me,” Clyde chipped in. “…I was fortunate enough to come with my best friend on this trip since his dad had an extra ticket left over. Boy, am I glad I didn’t miss out on all this!” Lincoln smiled at his friend beside him. “Me too, buddy.” Anne pondered a bit before asking the white-haired boy a question. “If you don’t mind me asking, Lincoln, was Captain Mickey wearing a disguise when he was scouting your dad’s restaurant?” “Yeah, he was. How did you know?” “Because the same thing happened with my parents when he scouted our family-owned restaurant!” “No way, really?!” Lincoln blinked in surprise. “Yes! We even brought Sprig and his family with us so they can experience the cruise too.” “Uh huh!” Sprig nodded. “My grandfather Hop Pop is helping Anne’s parents at the buffet right now while my sister Polly is in the Kids Kove.” Lilo had a wide smile on her face as she heard all these stories. “Hey, my big sister Nani was scouted by Captain Mickey too! He met her at the hotel she was working at and asked if she would like to work here for the summer. She’s working as a lifeguard at the Lido pools right now since she got to choose which occupation she wanted based on her skills.” Stitch grinned as his best friend told their tale to everyone in the group. When she stopped, he decided to finish the rest of it for her. “We too invited friends to come with our family. Cato is one of them,” he gestured to the orange feline on the other side of Lilo, signaling him to speak next. “Yeah, my dad and I have been living on Earth for a few months now, and we’ve been enjoying it so far,” Little Cato explained. “When Lilo told us that her sister was allowed to bring some friends and family to the cruise while she was on job training, she practically begged us to go.” The Hawaiian girl playfully hit the Ventrexian’s arm. “Hey! I just wanted you guys to have fun too!” Stitch and the other kids snickered at the exchange between Lilo and Little Cato. “Alright, alright, I was just kidding!” The 13-year-old cat alien laughed, putting his hands up in defense. “Of course, it was not only me and my dad who got invited. Some close friends of my dad are here too.” Mikey, Manny and Frida were the last ones to tell their story, so the orange clad turtle took his turn first. “Just like Gumball and Darwin here, my family also won the sweepstakes for the cruise tickets. Well, it was mostly our best friend, April, who’s like a big sister to us. She thought we all deserved a treat after all the crime fighting we did back home. Of course, we left some close friends in charge just in case any criminals run rampant when we’re not around.” Gumball and Darwin’s heads shot up at that statement. “Hold up! Did you just say…” “…you come from a family of CRIME FIGHTERS?!” The rest of the group smiled in amusement as they themselves already found out beforehand. “That’s right, baby! My oldest brother Raph likes to call us the Mad Dogs, but my second older brother Leo prefers that we call ourselves something else, like Ninja Mutant Turtle Teens. It’s a work in progress.” The Watterson brothers nodded in acknowledgement. “So, as April won seven tickets for the whole family, I found out that she, Raph, Leo, and Donnie got to go to the Teens Turf while I had to go to the Tropical T by myself because I wasn’t old enough to join them! The betrayal!” The 13-year-old turtle folded his arms in irritation as he finished his rant, the other youths wincing in sympathy. However, Mikey’s mood changed as he glanced at each of them with a smile. “But, I’m over it now since I got to meet you guys.” The whole friend group smiled back as they found comfort in that statement. “Also, our little sister Hazel is right next door in the Kids Kove, so I’ll be able to check on her when I get a chance.” Once Mikey was done, Manny told his story next. “As for me, my mom bought cruise tickets for me, Frida, and herself with her own money since she is still well-off from her singing career.” “It took a bit of convincing for my dad to let me go on this trip, of course,” Frida added. “But, Manny’s mom told him I would be in good hands and that she’ll make sure I’m safe with her at all times.” “Uh huh! Though, I do hope my dad is alright doing superhero work by himself while I’m gone.” Gumball and Darwin’s mouths dropped as they realized they made friends with, not one, but two crime fighters! “No way!” “You too?!” “Sure am!” The Mexican boy smirked at the two brothers. He stood up in his chair, untied his jacket from his waist, and spun the silver ‘T’ buckle on his belt. In an instant, Manny’s appearance had changed completely; He wore a brown tiger mask with white furry sideburns and a letter ’T’ on the forehead, a black suit with a red bandanna, black gloves with red stars and silver claws, brown boots, and a tiger tail in the back; this was Manny’s alter ego, El Tigre. “That is SO COOL!” The Watterson boys exclaimed as their eyes sparkled. The other youths who already found out about Manny’s hero identity earlier laughed wholeheartedly at the siblings’ reactions. “I know, right?!” Frida grinned. “Manny comes from a long line of superheroes and supervillains. His dad is the hero White Pantera and his grandfather is the villain Puma Loco.” Manny appreciated how his best friend spoke positively about his family background. “I’m still trying to decide whether I should be a hero or a villain, but I’ll figure it out eventually.” “I wish you well on that, man.” Gumball assured him. “Though, I personally hope you become an altruistic crime fighter instead of a power-hungry criminal.” “We’ll see,” the 13-year-old Mexican smirked as he transformed back into his normal attire. Everyone else in the friend group giggled at the 12-year-old cat’s statement. “By the way,” Darwin spoke up. “…where are all of you guys from?” “Mexico,” Manny and Frida stated. “New York,” Mikey answered. “Hawaii,” Lilo, Stitch, and Little Cato responded. “Michigan,” Lincoln and Clyde admitted. “California,” Anne revealed. “I’m actually from another dimension called Amphibia,” Sprig explained. “But, my family and I are currently living with Anne and her parents in California.” “Oh, you guys live in California?” Gumball questioned the Thai-American girl and pink frog. “So do we!” Anne immediately lit up when she heard this. “Really?! We live in the city of San Francisco! What about you?” “We live in Elmore!” Darwin answered. Sprig’s face lit up in excitement. “That’s great! Maybe we can plan on visiting each other sometime when we’re free!” Meanwhile, Lincoln had a slightly sad smile during the exchange between the four youths. “It’s too bad the rest of us live far away from each other.” An idea popped into Clyde’s head. “Hey, why don’t we all exchange numbers with each other? That way, we can still stay in contact once our cruise vacation is over. Plus, we can make plans on certain activities we want to do together while we’re still on the ship.” The Loud boy brightened up at his best friend‘s suggestion. “Great idea, Clyde! We can try exchanging our numbers now.” Everyone else voiced their agreement and immediately pulled out their phones, giving out their individual numbers one by one and creating a new group chat on the Seven Seas Hub app. “Oh, let’s take a picture too!” Darwin proposed. “Yeah!” The rest of the group was completely on board, only for Gumball to get stumped a little. “But, who’s going to take the picture?” Out of nowhere, Star Butterfly popped up next to their table. “Did somebody say they needed a picture taken?” All the friends nodded, with Darwin raising a hand. “Can you do it on my phone? I’m going to send it on our group chat.” Star gleefully took the 10-year-old goldfish’s device. “Don’t mind if I do!” The youths on both tables displayed the brightest smiles as the blonde teenager captured the moment, handing it back to the younger Watterson brother. “Thanks, Star!” “No problem!” After the club worker left to attend to her other duties, Darwin sent the picture through the group text as he promised, with all the friends (including his brother Gumball) expressing their gratitude to him. They were caught off guard when the speakers throughout the Tropical T came to life, catching the whole club’s attention. “Are you all ready to party?!” DJ Suki announced in an exhilarating tone. “Step onto the dance floor and let’s go crazy!” As she started up the music, everyone instantly recognized the song “Let’s Go Crazy” by the famous pop star Prince. A bunch of youths rushed to the dance floor in a frenzy to dance to this well-known classic, the ceiling up above bathing them in colorful lights. The sight and sound were enough to get Gumball and Darwin’s friend group all excited as well. Since they were all done eating, they might as well dance too! “No way, I love this song!” Anne smiled widely. “So do we!” Manny, Frida, Lincoln, and Clyde agreed. “Come on, Sprig!” The Thai-American girl told her best friend as she got up from her seat. “Okay!” The pink frog excitedly followed after her. “Aww yeah!” Mikey exclaimed. “Time to hit the dance floor, baby!” “Wait for us!” Frida told them as she went after them with Manny by her side, Lincoln and Clyde tagging along. On the second table, Little Cato, Lilo, and Stitch turned their heads to the Watterson brothers on the other side, wide smiles on their faces. “You guys coming along?!” The Ventrexian asked the younger boys. “Yeah!” They both answered at the same time. “Let’s go then!” At that, Little Cato grabbed Lilo’s hand as they got up from their seats and dashed off, Stitch following after them. Gumball and Darwin were not too far behind the trio as they made it to the dance floor themselves. The entire atmosphere of the Tropical T was just as lively as ever now, with some of the workers bobbing their heads to the beat as they performed their tasks around the place. Every youth that surrounded DJ Suki’s disk jockey stage threw down all sorts of dance moves, having the time of their lives. The Watterson boys were definitely enjoying themselves as they partied with their new friends. “Hey Gumball!” Darwin caught his older brother’s attention over the noise. “Do you think Anais is having as much fun as we are right now?!” “I hope so!” (ANAIS)Once the doors closed behind her and Steven, Anais began to take a look around the main entrance of the Kids Kove. A white ceiling filled with mini flush mount lights, blue walls decorated with paintings of ocean ripples and colorful fish of every shape and size, and a floor made up of large white tiles. On both ends of the area was an entryway that led to a respective room, both blockaded by double glass doors. The one on the far left had a sign that read “Book Area” with little book icons surrounding the title while the one on the far right had a sign reading “Science Lab,” little icons of science equipment (such as test tubes) surrounding the title. Both rooms caught the pink rabbit’s interest. “Is there another child joining the Kids Kove?” A soft-spoken voice caught Anais’ attention. The source of the voice came from a pony sitting behind a white front desk with the Kids Kove title plastered on it, a silver computer next to her. She was a light yellow pegasus with wide cyan eyes, long light pink mane and tail (with the mane parted on both sides), and a cutie mark with three pink butterflies on her flank. Like Steven, she wore a light blue shirt with the Kids Kove logo on the upper left. “Yep,” Steven smiled. “She’s very nervous without her older brothers though. They’re in the Tropical T next door.” The mare’s expression softened into a sympathetic gaze at the little newcomer. “Aww. I’m sorry, little one. We promise that you’ll have a wonderful time here. May I ask what your name is?” “A-Anais,” the 4-year-old stumbled. “Anais Watterson.” The pegasus typed away at her computer for Anais’ name, her heart aching at the toddler’s nervousness. Steven felt the same way, making him all the more determined to help her. “Yep, your name is right here on the registration list.” The Kids Kove desk worker smiled softly. “How about we give her a tour of the place so she can feel more comfortable, Miss Fluttershy?” Steven suggested. The mare, who’s name was Fluttershy, pondered over it a bit before grinning widely. “That sounds like a great idea, Steven. Would you like that, Anais?” To be honest, a tour of the Kids Kove didn’t sound too bad. The Watterson girl thought that maybe it would help lessen her anxiety a bit. “Sure. I’d like that.” “Okay, hold on a second. Angel Bunny?” A small white rabbit with a light blue jacket jumped on top of the front desk from behind, awaiting Fluttershy’s request. “I’m going to help Steven show a newcomer around the club. Do you mind watching the front desk while I’m away?” Angel saluted her, determined to follow through on his task. Nodding to her animal companion, the yellow pegasus got up from her seat and walked over to Steven and Anais. “Let me properly introduce myself. My name is Fluttershy, but you can call me ‘Miss Fluttershy’ if you want to,” the pony smiled at Anais. “I’m also the manager of the Kids Kove. A pleasure to meet you.” The small pink rabbit smiled in return. “A pleasure to meet you as well.” Steven was all the more eager to show Anais around the place. “So, where would you like to start?” The Watterson girl glanced between the Book Area and Science Lab before making her decision. “Can we see the Book Area first?” “Good choice,” the 16-year-old worker nodded. “I’ll lead the way,” Fluttershy beamed as she led her young employee and new charge to the first destination. Anais continued to hold onto Steven’s hand as it helped put her at ease, which the teen noticed, so he continued to stay by her side. The soft-spoken manager turned to the pair as her hoof held onto one of the door handles. “We have to be very quiet when we come in here so as to not disturb the kids that are reading, okay?” Steven and Anais nodded before Fluttershy opened one of the glass doors, letting the two pass through. The Book Area had a nice interior to it, which included white walls and a beige carpet. On the right side was a red leather armchair with a large dark blue circular rug underneath (which was most likely a space for story time) while the left side of the room had a large built-in bookcase, a long tan wooden table surrounded by six blue chairs, and a red cushioned booth installed against the wall in the middle of the room. There were even multicolored bean bag chairs littered around the area too. A club worker was currently taking out some books from a box he was carrying and sat them on each shelf of the bookcase; he was a 13-year-old Caucasian boy with short messy brown hair, dressed in a light blue Kids Kove shirt under a navy blue vest, gray shorts, and black shoes, along with a tan and brown lumberjack hat on his head. His name was Dipper Pines, the head of the Book Area. Alongside Dipper, there were a few kids sitting around while quietly reading their own books. Three kids named Blossom Utonium, Dexter, and Sherman Peabody were currently occupying the tan wooden table, reading books about various science topics, while a fourth kid was sitting on the red cushioned booth with a big book on marine life, which completely covered up her frame. As Dipper turned around and noticed his boss, co-worker, and newest club member, he smiled and waved at the three, who returned the gesture. Steven mouthed to him that they were taking the little pink rabbit on a tour, to which the 13-year-old responded with a thumbs up before getting back to work. Once Anais was done admiring the room, her tour guides led her out and took her to the other side of the main entrance area where the Science Lab was located. The interior of the room consisted of a white floor and bright green walls decorated with stickers of science equipment ranging from test tubes to microscopes. Three long white tables sat in the middle of the room while a tan-colored front desk sat in front of a white board on the far end, in addition to a long tan counter with a black top being installed against the wall on the side. Anais was quite pleased with the set up. “The Science Lab is where we conduct all kinds of fun experiments,” Fluttershy informed the 4-year-old. “The room is empty at the moment, but we’re going to have some very special guests coming over later tonight to teach the children.” “Mr. Peabody and Flint Lockwood will be the main hosts, along with their young assistants Varian, Hiro Hamada, and Sherman Peabody, who we just saw in the Book Area.” Steven added. Anais perked up at this. She was familiar with Mr. Peabody and Flint Lockwood as both of the geniuses have been featured on the news multiple times. She admired them for their intellectual feats, so she was definitely looking forward to seeing them in person!, “This is the Computer & TV Area, the room I’m in charge of!” Steven beamed as he introduced the third area to the Watterson girl. “This is where all the kids come over to play a variety of games either within the TV booths or on the computer desk.” The Computer & TV Area had white walls, a dark gray carpet, and five TV booths on both sides of the room, installed with turquoise cushioned seating. In the middle of the area was a long tan desk with five computers on both sides (equating to ten altogether) and black desk chairs stationed at each spot. An 8-year-old boy named Mac was playing video games with his imaginary best friend Bloo in one of the booths while a 6-to-11-year-old boy named K.O. was playing a computer game with his close friend Dendy. Meanwhile, a Minion was watching over the children in Steven’s place. “I am so going to wipe the floor with you on Mario Kart!” Bloo challenged his friend beside him. “We’ll see about that!” Mac laughed in response. “Wow, Dendy! Those combos you showed me really work!” K.O. smiled widely as he was winning a superhero desktop game. Dendy blushed at his praise. “I’m glad I could help.” Anais smiled at the kids’ interactions with one another as it reminded her of her brothers playing video games together. , “Hola! Welcome to the Arts & Crafts Area.” A worker greeted Anais as Fluttershy and Steven brought her to the fourth room of the Kids Kove. “I’m Mirabel Madrigal, the head supervisor of this room, but you can just call me Mirabel.” Mirabel was a tan-skinned 15-year-old Colombian girl with medium curly dark brown hair and lime green glasses. Her attire consisted of blue pom pom earrings, the light blue Kids Kove shirt, and dark blue jeans decorated with all sorts of embroidery, including her dark pink slip-on shoes. “Hello there,” Anais gave a small wave to the teenage girl. “My name is Anais Watterson.” “Do you like art, Anais?” “Uh-huh!” “Then I can assure you that you’re going to love it here!” Mirabel smiled as she showed off the whole area. The Arts & Crafts Area was quite a spacious room with white walls decorated with splashes of paint and a white-tiled floor. There were three large white tables surrounded by eight purple stools in the center of the room, along with a tan-colored front desk with a purple desk chair and a whiteboard against the wall. On the left side of the room was a white counter between two tan-colored supply cabinets while the right side had three silver sinks with automatic paper towel dispensers and black trash cans on either side. “We do all kinds of creative activities, from drawing and painting to gluing materials together to make new masterpieces!” Mirabel informed as she walked Anais through the area while Steven and Fluttershy followed behind them. “We have sessions where we work on special projects, such as coloring and decorating your favorite tropical animals, as well as creating 3-D pictures of the beach. There’s also Free Draw Hour where you can create any art piece you want, even if they include pictures of your favorite activities on the cruise and islands!” The group of four paused in their tracks as the head supervisor glanced at her fellow co-workers who were assisting some kids at the moment. One was a teenage girl handing George Beard and Harold Hutchins some blank sheets of paper, both boys thanking her in return now that they had enough materials for their new comic book. The other workers were three tiny Pop Trolls handing some glitter and glue to an 8-year-old girl named Bubbles Utonium, who was completely grateful for their help. “These guys over here are my assistants,” Mirabel happily gestured to them. “Mabel Pines, Poppy, Biggie, and Guy Diamond.” As each member was introduced to Anais, they all gave her warm, welcoming smiles. Mabel was a 13-year-old Caucasian girl with long brown hair in a ponytail, a pink headband sitting on top of her head, along with the standard Kids Kove shirt, a purple skirt, and black slip-on shoes. She bore a strong resemblance to her twin brother Dipper from the Book Area, the only difference being that her smile revealed shiny silver braces. Poppy was a tiny light pink troll with upturned dark pink hair in a ponytail, donning a light green headband with three blue flowers on it, the Kids Kove shirt over her blue dress, along with a purple and blue bracelet on her left arm. Biggie was a pudgy troll with dark blue skin and short upturned periwinkle hair, his attire including the Kids Kove shirt under a purple waistcoat and purple shorts. Sitting on Biggie’s right shoulder was a yellow and green worm with pink stripes across his body, large black eyes, blue lips, and a dark green hat; he was his beloved pet worm, Mr. Dinkles. Guy Diamond was a silver-skinned troll that was completely covered with white glitter and long silver upturned hair with a metallic shine to it. He only wore a simple light blue Kids Kove vest with the logo on the back. “Hello there!” Mabel waved, her wide grin showing off her braces. “We hope to see you in one of our sessions!” Poppy beamed. Biggie and Guy Diamond nodded at their best friend’s statement. “They’re going to be loads of fun!” “Mew!” Mr. Dinkles voiced in agreement on Biggie’s shoulder. “Get a chance to express yourself!” Guy Diamond autotuned. A tiny head popped out from Guy Diamond’s hair, revealing himself to be his son. “This will be one of your most favorite places in the Kids Kove!” The tiny troll smiled. “I’m Tiny Diamond, by the way.” Anais laughed lightheartedly. “It’s nice to meet you all. I look forward to joining you later.” Fluttershy and Steven smiled as they saw that this tour was successfully helping the 4-year-old relax a little. , The fifth area Anais was taken to was the Games & Activities Area. She was introduced to the head supervisor, who’s name was Connie Maheswaran, Steven’s best friend/girlfriend. She was a 15-year-old Indian-American girl with a slender nose and dark brown shoulder-length puffy hair with bangs, donning the Kids Kove shirt, blue denim shorts, and pink and white tennis shoes. “This here is where all the kids get to engage in a variety of fun activities,” Connie informed the small pink rabbit. “Board games, card games, virtual games, LEGO sets, even movies on the flatscreen.” The Games & Activities Area had white walls and a beige carpet with two long tan wooden tables that were each surrounded by eight orange chairs in the middle of the room. On the right side was a tan-colored shelf with multicolored bins on each rack containing numerous types of games and toys, while the left side had three giant black tablets laid out as tables, each including every virtual game children loved. The front side of the room had a TV installed on the wall with seven multicolored bean bag seats sitting around it. Two girls named Edith Gru and Buttercup Utonium were fiercely competing with each other on Fruit Ninja through one of the virtual tablets while their third friend, Vanellope von Schweetz, was spectating on the sidelines, waiting for her turn against the proclaimed winner. On the first table, three kids named Craig Williams, Kelsey Pokoly, and J.P. Mercer were going all out on a made-up game they created out of three board games they combined. On the second table, twin brothers Barnaby A and Barnaby B Willoughby finished creating a big candy vending machine out of LEGO. Their new friend Chowder served as their main tester, so as one of the brothers pulled the lever, a piece of candy rolled out of the dispenser in front of the 9-year-old bunny-cat, who unwrapped the treat, popped it in his mouth, and gave the them a thumbs up. Both twins sported a triumphant smile. Of course, Anais could tell there were mostly big kids in the area, so she asked Connie, “Where do the little kids get to play?” “Oh, that would be the Play Area right across from here.” “Good thing it’s one of our last stops for the tour,” Steven smiled. Fluttershy perked up at this. “We should head there right now!” As the pegasus politely beckoned the teenage boy and pink rabbit to follow her, Steven gave Connie a warm smile, who returned the gesture. “Thanks, Connie.” “No problem.”, Right when Fluttershy, Steven, and Anais stood at the entrance of the Play Area, the young Watterson froze in her tracks. This caught both the workers’ attention before they could open one of the glass doors. “Is everything alright, Anais?” Steven looked at her in concern. The pink rabbit glanced at the floor while fiddling with her dress. “It’s just that…I've met so many new people, and I have a hard time making new friends….every time I try to socialize with other kids, I…tend to get weird and scare them away. I don’t want it to happen again.” Fluttershy and Steven glanced at one another before focusing on Anais again, feeling bad for her. The yellow pegasus, in particular, knew all too well what it was like to struggle with socializing. She crouched down in front of the girl so she could meet her at eye level. “It’s okay, Anais. I get scared sometimes when I meet new people too.” Anais met the patient mare’s gaze as she listened to her. “But as I slowly came out of my shell more, I made some really great friends who have always been loving and supportive to me, just as I am to them. I’m sure you’ll find those same types of friends here in the club, even if it’s only one or two at a time.” The 4-year-old was starting to feel a little better from this pep talk. “You really think so?” The Kids Kove manager nodded in affirmation. “And don’t worry,” Steven spoke up. “The Play Area’s supervisor is a really nice guy. He’ll make sure you’re comfortable and well taken care of.” “Mm-hm,” Fluttershy agreed. “If it helps, just take a deep breath and remember that Steven and I will be in there with you, no matter what happens.” A small ounce of hope stirred inside Anais’ heart from the encouragement she received. Just as the yellow mare had advised her, she took a deep breath and faced the double doors right in front of her. “Alright. I’m ready.” The two club workers smiled at her newfound determination. “Okay then.” “Let’s go.” The three stepped inside the Play Area as Steven opened the way for them. It was quite a spacious room with white walls and an ocean blue carpet. The right side had a black flatscreen TV with a built-in DVD player installed against the wall, a coral DVD case below it, and a large coral rug sitting in front of it so the children would have something comfortable to sit on while watching movies. The left side completely caught Anais’ attention as there was a huge play structure in the shape of a brown ship with a small staircase and double slide spaced apart. Two large figurines sat on either side of the play ship, a pink flamingo on the right and an orange octopus on the left. The middle wall of the Play Area had a large coral-colored shelf containing a wide variety of children’s toys, from dolls and action figures to plushies and props, including a long toy chest and large dollhouse that both sat at the very bottom. Another shelf sat next to the entrance on the right, containing pillows and sleeping bags for nap time. The entire room had quite a lively atmosphere as groups of children were either playing on the large rug or huge play ship while the TV was currently displaying previews so they would all have a movie to watch. “Hello, Miss Fluttershy.” A voice called out. “‘Sup, Steven. Is there a new kid joining us?” The source of it came from another Kids Kove worker who came over to see his manager and fellow coworker with the pink rabbit by their side. He was a tan-skinned 15-year-old Colombian boy with curly dark auburn hair, dressed in the light blue Kids Kove shirt under a yellow hoodie decorated with two dark yellow stripes containing chameleons, black jeans, yellow-and-white sneakers, and two bracelets on his right arm, one with black beads and another that was a simple gold band. “Hello, Camilo.” Fluttershy greeted her young employee. “We most certainly have a new friend joining us.” “She’s kind of nervous about meeting the other kids though,” Steven informed him. “Ohh, I see.” Camilo understood. He crouched down in front of the pink rabbit, a soft smile on his face. “Hey there. What’s your name?” “Anais,” the 4-year-old answered. “Anais Watterson.” “Nice to meet you, Anais. I’m Camilo Madrigal, the head of the Play Area.” In a split second, the teenage boy transformed into a carbon copy of the young Watterson, revealing himself to be a shapeshifter. “I promise that you’re going to love it here!” Camilo said in Anais’ voice. The 4-year-old was surprised by the stunt, only to fall into a fit of lighthearted giggles at her duplicate. Fluttershy and Steven could already tell this introduction was off to a good start. Camilo displayed a triumphant smile as he managed to make another kid smile today, shifting back into his original form. Once Anais was done laughing, a thought crossed her mind. “By the way, are you related to Mirabel from the Arts & Crafts Area? You two almost look exactly alike.” The shapeshifter’s eyes lit up instantly. “Oh yeah! She’s mi prima . My cousin. Of course, Mabel and Dipper thought we were siblings like them, but we just have a strong resemblance to one another. We still refer to each other as twins since we’re the same age.” Anais nodded in understanding. “I see.” “ANAIS!” A voice called out, startling the 4-year-old a bit. As she saw a figure running towards her, she realized it was none other than Lana Loud! She stopped right in front of the rabbit, sporting an excited grin. “You actually made it!” “I sure did!” Anais smiled back. It was quite comforting to see a familiar face. “Oh, you two know each other?” Fluttershy asked the young girls. “Uh huh!” Lana nodded. “We met at the burger joint on the Lido deck up above!” Steven smiled at this piece of news. “That’s great! Looks like you already made your first friend here, Anais.” That statement alone warmed Anais’ heart as another kid actually reached out to her to be her friend. What was even better is that she didn’t act weird for once! “Well, looks like now is a good time to show you around the area, Anais.” Camilo looked at the 4-year-old in anticipation. “Oh, can I introduce her to the other kids?! Can I, please?!” Lana begged the supervisor. The shapeshifter chuckled at the 6-year-old’s enthusiasm. “Sure. I’ll follow right behind you two along the way. Are you okay with that, Anais?” “Uh huh,” the pink rabbit smiled. “Alright then, vámonos . Let’s go.” Fluttershy and Steven decided to stay in the room for a bit to make sure the Watterson girl would be alright. “We’ll be right here, Anais.” “Right by the doors.” Anais nodded before heading off with Lana and Camilo. Lana chose to introduce the pink rabbit to her twin sister and her own group of friends first, who were all playing tea party on the large rug. “Anais, this is Lola Loud, Agnes Gru, Jessica Williams, Cream and Cheese. Lola is my twin sister.” The aforementioned kids who were sitting around a small pink table with plastic tea cups and food, along with their own respective plush toys, smiled and waved at Anais. Lola was a 6-year-old Caucasian girl with long blonde hair and a princess-like outfit consisting of a long pink dress, a light pink sash and long pink gloves. Her look was complemented by white pearl earrings, a pearl necklace, and a black wire tiara upon her head. When she smiled, she had the exact same toothy gap as Lana. The second girl, Agnes, was a 6-year-old Caucasian with long black hair tied in an upwards ponytail by a red scrunchie. She wore blue denim overalls over a short-sleeved yellow and brown striped shirt, and yellow socks with white sneakers. The third girl, Jessica, was a 5-year-old African-American with tied-up curly dark brown hair in the back, donned in a short-sleeved white-and-blue shirt, pink skirt with white polka dots, black shorts underneath, and yellow Mary Jane flats. The fourth girl, Cream, was a 6-year-old rabbit with cream-colored fur and large ears that flopped behind her head, orange patches of fur around her eyes. She wore a red sleeveless dress with a white collar and light blue tie, white gloves, and red-and-yellow slip-on shoes. Cheese, who was Cream’s best friend, was a flying yellow and blue Chao with a yellow orb above his head, a red bow tie, and small light pink wings. “Hi, Anais.” Lola greeted the Watterson girl. “Nice to meet you. Love your outfit by the way!” “Thanks!” Anais smiled at the compliment. “I got it from the Style Shores store.” Both Lana and Lola lit up at the mention of the clothing store. “The same store our big sister Leni works at?!” “Of course you can always count on Leni for the best fashion!” “Do you like tea parties, Anais?” Agnes questioned. “I love them!” The pink rabbit’s eyes sparkled. “We brought our own buddies to join us too!” Jessica grinned as she held up her green yam plushie, Small Uncle. Cream gave the fellow rabbit a soft smile herself. “We look forward to having you join us later.” “Chao!” Cheese cheered in agreement. “I’d like that!” Anais told the group of girls, excited for their next tea game. Now she really wished she brought Daisy with her! “Let’s go meet the kids at the play ship!” Lana told the Watterson girl as she happily dragged her to the other side of the Play Area. Camilo continued to follow after them as he waved to the tea party girls, who happily returned the gesture. “Have fun you all!” The play ship was the most popular feature of the Play Area as its large size allowed the children to roam around it. In fact, Lana and her friends were just playing a pretend game of sea adventures before the tomboy caught sight of Anais entering the room, whom she was now introducing to the second group of kids. “Hey guys!” The 6-year-old caught the group’s attention. “This is Anais Watterson. Anais, meet Adorabat, Polly Plantar, Hazel Hamato, Lee Kubota and Antonio Madrigal.” The first kid, Adorabat, was a small 5-year-old blue bat with big yellow eyes, a yellow heart on her chest, and yellow peg leg on her right side. Polly, the second kid, was a 5-year-old purple tadpole with a light blue-and-teal striped bucket hat, a blonde wig, brown coat, and yellow rain boots. Hazel, the third one, was an 8-year-old girl with light brown skin and long wavy blonde hair, a green leaf hair clip resting on the left. She had a Japanese-inspired outfit with a white-and-turquoise sailor shirt and hakama pants, complemented by a light blue tie and dark gray slip-on shoes, turtle symbols decorating her tie brooch and pants. There was a purple bracelet on her right arm, and a small tech gauntlet on her left. Lee, the fourth one, was a 5-year-old Japanese-American boy with short black hair, a white short-sleeved shirt with a bumblebee on the front, brown sweatpants, and orange shoes. The last one, Antonio, was a 5-year-old Colombian boy with dark brown skin, curly black hair, and dark brown eyes. He had a short-sleeved orange shirt with a smiling jaguar head on the front, tan cargo shorts, and orange-and-white strap-on sneakers. The first four sported bright smiles while Antonio had a shy one as they all waved at Anais. “Hello!” “‘Sup?” “Hi there!” “Hey!” “Hello.” The pink rabbit returned the gesture. “Hello. Nice to meet you all.” Camilo walked over to Antonio and ruffled his hair, making the boy erupt in giggles. “Antonio also happens to be mi hermanito. My little brother.” “Oh!” Anais acknowledged. “Hi there,” a sixth voice greeted, spooking the Watterson girl. She saw that it came from a pale-skinned 8-year-old girl peeking through one of the windows on the lower part of the play ship, her eyes completely covered by her dark bangs. “Oh yeah, this is one of my older sisters, Lucy Loud.” Lana introduced her to Anais. “She likes to hide in dark places.” “I’m writing a new poem at the moment,” Lucy informed. “I can share it with you later if you’d like.” “Sure, I don’t mind,” Anais smiled, making the dark-haired girl grin before retreating into the lower ship. “As for us,” Lana continued. “We’re playing as sea adventurers.” “And an evil octopus came out to attack us!” Hazel pointed at the large octopus figurine on the left while holding her pretend archer’s bow. “So we’re about to kick his butt!” Adorabat exclaimed as she waved around her pretend sword. “Send him to clobbering town!” Polly agreed as she held her own toy weapon in hand, which was a flail. The excitement rubbed off on Lee and Antonio as they held up their respective plushies, Lee with his green dinosaur and Antonio with his jaguar. “We’re going to protect our ship!” “And protect our friends!” “Do you want to join us, Anais?” Lana asked the pink rabbit eagerly. Anais smiled nervously as the entire group’s eyes were on her while Camilo watched the whole exchange in amusement. “Wow. Between that and the tea party, it’s really hard to choose.” Screaming was heard from the other side of the Play Area, followed by Agnes, Jessica, and Cream (with Cheese flying after her) running to the lower part of the play ship and taking cover in the same spot Lucy resided, surprising the 8-year-old. Everyone was confused by their actions until they saw the THX logo on the TV screen, the deep note getting higher and higher until it filled the entire room. The other kids on the play ship became terrified themselves and laid low to avoid looking at the screen, with Hazel transforming into a turtle and hiding inside her shell. The only kids who didn’t get scared were Lana, Lola, Polly, Adorabat, and Anais. Camilo rushed over to the TV spot and grabbed the remote off the cabinet to pause the device, putting a hand on his forehead. “Ay, I forgot to skip that part.” Lola, who still sat at the tea party table, shrugged her shoulders. “Eh, it didn’t scare me that much.” “I’ve seen way scarier things than that.” Polly commented, Adorabat nodding in agreement. “Same.” “My brothers used to be scared of that logo a long time ago,” Anais shook her head at the memory. “Really?” Lana asked, the rabbit nodding in confirmation. Fluttershy and Steven, who still stood beside the entrance doors, witnessed the whole scene with worried expressions. “Oh my.” “That’s not good.” Out of nowhere, one of the entrance doors burst open, revealing a tall transporter robot waving its arms around frantically while a tiny worker stood on top of it, a panicked expression on his face. “What’s going on?! I heard screaming! Is everyone alright?!” He was a tiny Pop Troll with deep blue upturned hair and grayish blue skin, donning a green leaf vest over the light blue Kids Kove shirt, and dark brown shorts; his name was Branch, the First Aid provider of the Kids Kove. Everyone (minus the hiding children) laid their eyes on the frantic troll when he entered the Play Area. “Nobody’s hurt, Branch.” Camilo reassured him. “I just forgot to skip the THX logo when I turned on a movie for them. I know how to calm them down though.” The 15-year-old went back to the play ship and decided to shapeshift into Captain Mickey Mouse. “Hello, everybody!” Camilo greeted in the famous celebrity’s voice. A few kids lifted their heads up when they heard him. “You’re not going to let some silly ol’ logo ruin your fun, are you?” The rest of the hiding children came out as the shapeshifter continued. “I promised your families that you all will have a great time and that’s a promise I intend to keep. So let’s chin up, come back out, and enjoy ourselves on this wonderful cruise!”The pep talk seemed to work as the expressions on the children went from scared to elated. The sight of Mickey Mouse always brought joy to them. Camilo returned to his original form, a triumphant expression on his face as the young ones returned to their previous activities with their friends, the tea party girls joining with Lola and some of the play ship kids standing back up, with Hazel turning back into her human form after hiding in her turtle shell. Anais was quite impressed by the acting skills of the Play Area supervisor. “I didn’t doubt him for a second,” Fluttershy beamed with pride. “Couldn’t agree more,” Steven agreed. As for Branch, he let out a sigh of relief. “Well, I’m glad no one was seriously hurt.” The sound of rolling carts was heard in the hallway outside, catching Fluttershy’s attention. As she looked through the glassy double doors, she saw that the Minions were delivering food to the Lunch Area. “Oh, it’s lunchtime. Lunchtime, everyone!” The pegasus alerted the whole room. As the announcement was made, all the children stopped what they were doing and gathered up any toys they had to put them away on the toy shelves, with the assistance of Camilo and Steven (who stepped in to help out his fellow coworker, which the shapeshifter was grateful for). As for Anais, she went over to stand next to Fluttershy while waiting for her friends to finish their task. Once clean-up time was over, Camilo turned off the flatscreen TV and gathered up all the children in two straight lines. “Everybody ready?” The Play Area supervisor questioned. “Yeah!” The children answered. “Alright then, let’s go!” “Make sure to exit the premises safely,” Branch added. Fluttershy and Branch (with the assistance of his First Aid robot) opened the double doors on either side as the kids exited the area, Camilo trailing behind them alongside Branch (after the troll finished opening one of the doors). Steven went over and stood next to Anais, the latter smiling brightly at him. “So, are you enjoying it so far?” The teen questioned the small rabbit. “Uh huh! Thank you very much for showing me around.” “Anytime!” Steven smiled triumphantly, as did Fluttershy. “Since we’ve completed the tour, let’s go join the others,” The Kids Kove manager stated as she, Steven, and Anais followed after everyone to the lunch room. The Lunch Area looked quite similar to the entrance area, containing a white ceiling with mini flush mount lights, blue walls decorated with paintings of ocean ripples and colorful fish, and a white-tiled floor. The only difference was that the Lunch Area had three large white cafeteria tables on the right and left, food tables covered with white cloth sitting against the walls on both ends, and the middle wall with a custodial/first aid closet sitting between the doors of the respective restrooms, the Girls’ on the left and the Boys’ on the right. As the delivery Minions took the food off the carts and placed them atop the white-clothed tables, the entire room started to become packed as nearly every supervisor of the Kids Kove lined up groups of children at the tables on either side. The kids from the Play Area lined up at the table on the right side, with Camilo keeping them company. Lana, who was all the way at the end, waved to Anais to stand right behind her, which made the pink rabbit smile. The Watterson girl signaled to Steven and Fluttershy where she was going and the two workers understood, letting her go. Once Camilo saw that the children under his care were all together, he rubbed his hands at every food item being placed on the large table. He jumped as he felt someone tug at his hoodie. “Don’t even think about it, primo .” His cousin Mirabel threatened. “I-I wasn’t going to do anything, Mira!” Camilo put his hands up in defense. She only narrowed her eyes at him. “I know how you can be, so you better not hog all that food for yourself and cause these kids to starve!” “I won’t, honest!” “I hope so. Te estoy observando .” The Art & Crafts main supervisor gestured at her eyes and back at him. The Play Area kids giggled at the whole scene, especially Antonio, who knew his older brother and favorite cousin all too well. Even Fluttershy and Steven found humor in the exchange before the manager decided to fetch Angel Bunny from the entrance area while the half-human, half-alien teen leaves to fetch the kids from the Computer & TV Area. They were just passing by Connie, who was doing her best to hold Chowder back as they went to go stand in line. “Easy, Chowder. That food isn’t going anywhere.” “I knooow! I’m just starving really badly!” Once the Minions were done setting up all the food, they signaled for everyone to start moving forward and grab their paper plates. There was pizza, calzones, mini burgers, hot dogs, and chicken nuggets, along with chip bags, fruits, and veggies as the sides. Juices, milks, and waters served as the beverages while the cupcakes and donuts served as the dessert. Since Anais already had a burger earlier, she decided to get pizza, potato chips, and a pink frosted vanilla cupcake with a fruit punch juice box. She followed after the other Play Area kids to one of the cafeteria tables, sitting right next to Lana. Fluttershy and Steven had just returned to the Lunch Area with the individuals they brought back with them, lining up to grab their own meals. Anais noticed that Lana was waving over to someone from the other side of the Lunch Area, who then approached their table and took a vacant spot right across the two girls. “Anais, I want to introduce you to one of my other sisters!” Lana gestured to the girl. She was a 4-year-old Caucasian with medium brown hair and large black rimmed glasses, her attire consisting of a green turtleneck sweater, dark pink pants, and brown shoes. “Greetings. The name’s Lisa Loud,” Lisa greeted with a lisp. “Anais Watterson. A pleasure to meet you,” Anais greeted back before laying her sights on a large book Lisa had under her lunch plate. “Is that a book on marine life?” “Indeed. It’s quite fascinating if I do say so myself. I was reading a page on tursiops, which belong to the delphinidae family, and thought about creating a device to fully comprehend their speech and innermost thoughts.” Lana blinked in confusion at her younger sister’s intellectual talk. Anais on the other hand… “You want to create a device to understand and communicate with the bottlenose dolphins?” The Watterson girl questioned with intrigue, causing both Lana and Lisa to blink in surprise. “You understood what she said?!” “Huh. Usually, I have to break down my sentences into simpler terms for others to comprehend me. You’re familiar with marine biology as well?” “I sure am!” Anais beamed. “I'm aware that dolphins are one of the most intelligent creatures on earth, being quick thinkers and effective problem solvers. My family and I even saw two dolphins swimming side by side earlier near the ship. My best guess is that they may have been traveling companions who were curious about the people on this boat.” The two Loud sisters were taken aback once again. “I didn’t know you were super smart, Anais!” “I’m quite astonished myself!” Anais blushed from the praise. “Well, I love to read all kinds of books on different subjects. Science and literature just happen to be one of my top favorites.” Lisa became even more engaged as she heard this. “You know, I heard the Science Lab is supposed to be open later today. Would you like to work together as lab partners, Anais?” This was going to be the start of a wonderful friendship. “Sure! I’d like that.” “It’s a deal then,” Lisa slightly smiled, containing her own excitement behind a tranquil facade. “Hey, you guys,” Lana got the two girls’ attention. “I think one of the supervisors is coming over here.” “Hey, everyone!” Camilo announced to the kids on the table. “Who wants to play a game of ‘Let’s Get to Know Each Other?’” Nearly everyone raised their hands eagerly, including Anais. “Okay! First question, who’s here on a cruise ship for the first time?” All the children, minus Lana, raised their hands. Camilo was quite impressed. “Wow, a lot of first timers! Looks like I’m not the only one.” This earned the supervisor plenty of giggles. “Second question, where are you all from?” Lucy, Lana, Lola and Lisa went first, albeit simultaneously. “Michigan.” “California,” Anais answered. “Same here!” Polly grinned. “New York!” Hazel smiled. The rest of the children had a turn as well before Camilo asked another question. “Third question, what activities are you looking forward to on your cruise vacation?” Anais would have to thank Gumball and Darwin later for helping her to progress through her social anxiety by signing her up for this club because she could feel herself grow more exhilarated at the activities she would engage in with her new friends. (NICOLE & RICHARD)It’s been a while since Nicole and Richard spent quality time together as a couple. With Nicole working long hours at her job while Richard stayed at home to watch the kids (when he wasn’t passed out on the couch), it seemed near impossible to have a single day just to themselves unless it was their anniversary. However, this cruise vacation gave them the perfect opportunity to take advantage of that. So, after they placed their regular clothing and newly bought items in their cabin (with Nicole locking her children’s Candy Cavern treats in the safe so her husband won’t eat them up), the Watterson parents decided to take a walk around the upper level of the Lido deck hand-in-hand, reminiscing about their previous years together. “Remember that time we took turns on the swing after we first met?” Nicole fondly recalled. “Yeah, you ended up knocking down the whole swing set while I was on it.” Richard grinned, causing his wife to erupt in giggles. “I forget how strong I can be sometimes!” “Of course, I can never forget when we laid on the grass watching the clouds.” The pink rabbit gazed at the clear blue sky, his wife copying his actions. “That was one of my favorite moments.” “Higher Love” by Steve Winwood started playing in the background, causing the Watterson couple to light up at the familiar tune. “Richard, it’s that song that played on our first date!” “When we went out for a drive as the sun was setting?” “Yes! We literally had to sneak out the day after my dad slammed the door in your face!” “Of course! We were about to share our first kiss on top of a hill until the car started going backwards. I literally forgot to park the thing!” “But you managed to stop it on time!” Uncontrollable laughs overtook Nicole and Richard, which caught the attention of a few passersby. They eventually calmed down to take some deep breaths. “I wish we could spend more time like this back at Elmore,” Nicole longingly stared at her husband. “Well, let’s make the best of it by living in the moment.” Richard reassured her. “After all, we have the whole entire week to do so.” The blue cat woman chuckled softly. “Yeah, you’re right.” As they resumed their stroll around the Lido deck, they were passing by a couple named Pepa and Fèlix Madrigal who had frozen cocktails inside pineapples. “Excuse me,” Nicole caught the couple’s attention. “May I ask where you got those drinks from?” “Oh, we got these from the bar on the lower level!” Pepa smiled as the sun beamed brightly at the same time. “They’re amazing!” “Yep!” Fèlix agreed. “The bartender makes quite a show in preparing the drinks too. It’s magnífico , man!” Richard can already imagine what they taste like. “We should definitely get some, Nicole!” “Great idea, Richard! Thank you so much, you two!” “ De nada! ” “Anytime!” The Watterson parents took the stairs to the lower level and caught sight of a small crowd surrounding a beach hut bar. Taking a closer look, they witnessed a bartender named Bugs Bunny performing all sorts of tricks with the ingredients and pouring the beverages into empty pineapples, handing them over to his customer. “Here’s your order.” “Thanks!” An ogre named Shrek smiled as he grabbed two drinks for himself and his wife Fiona. As they found what they were looking for, Nicole and Richard went over to stand at the counter. “Eh, what's up, doc?” Bugs Bunny greeted them as he nibbled on a carrot stick. “What can I get you?” “Hello there,” Nicole greeted back. “Which frozen drinks are your most popular ones?” “Well, we have Mango, Strawberry, Pineapple, and Lime. If you wish, you can combine any flavors to your liking.” The blue cat woman pondered for a bit until coming to a decision. “I think we’ll have two frozen mango pineapple margaritas in the pineapple cups. What do you think, Richard?” “Sounds good to me!” The large pink rabbit grinned. “Two frozen mango pineapple margaritas it is,” Bugs Bunny took the order. He placed his carrot stick in the pocket of his white shirt and grabbed Nicole’s cruise ship card as she handed it to him. After he swiped it, he returned it to her and got to work. The gray rabbit went to the back and scooped up some ice in a pitcher from an ice chest then returned to the front counter, taking out a tray of frozen mango and pineapple chunks. As he placed the ice-filled pitcher atop the blender on the left side, Bugs stood at the center of the counter with the fruit tray and took each chunk, juggling them all in a rapid motion until throwing them into the pitcher one by one. Next, he reached both hands behind his back and spun out a tequila bottle in his right hand and an orange liqueur bottle in his left, setting them down on the counter side by side. The bartender then reached behind Nicole’s ear and pulled out a silver jigger, much to the Watterson couple’s surprise, and placed it between the two bottles. He poured the tequila into the bar shot and transferred the liquid into the pitcher, repeating the same action with the orange liqueur. Once all the ingredients were in the blender, Bugs turned it on and grabbed two empty pineapples from a mini fridge under the counter. He turned off the machine and proceeded to pour the frozen margarita into both the fruit cups before snapping his fingers, causing two mini umbrellas (which were in the colors of pink and blue respectively) to fall from the top and land into each of the drinks. “Enjoy,” Bugs presented his latest craft to the married couple. “Thank you very much!” Nicole grabbed the beverages, impressed by the gray rabbit’s tricks. “I managed to catch all that on video!” Richard revealed as he held his cell phone up. The Watterson parents took a sip of their drinks and were amazed by how delicious they were. “This is incredible!” “I agree! 5 out of 5!” The bartender was completely grateful for the compliments. “Thanks. I’m glad you like them.” “We’re definitely coming back over here next time!” The blue cat woman happily informed the gray rabbit. “I look forward to it!” Bugs smiled. “Have a nice day!” The couple resumed their stroll around the Lido deck while enjoying their refreshments, going over what plans they have for the cruise, as well as the islands they’ll be stopping at. They didn’t realize how late it was getting until Nicole checked the time on her cellphone, which read 5:45 pm. “Oh my gosh, is it that late already? We have to get ready for the Captain’s Dinner Night!” “When does that start?” Richard asked her. “At 7 pm. We have to go pick up the kids from the clubs. I’ll text them that we're on our way.” The mother proceeded to message her kids through the family group chat, telling them to get ready. , Gumball and Darwin were at the table chatting away with their friends when they received a message from their mom on their respective phones, who reminded them about the Captain’s Dinner Night and to get their sister from the Kids Kove next door since she and their dad will be coming over to get them. They texted her back to let her know they got it. As it turns out, they weren’t the only kids to get text messages from their family members. “Are you guys going to the Captain’s Dinner Night, too?” Gumball questioned the group. Everyone nodded their heads. “We sure are,” Mikey smiled. “I can’t wait to try Princess Tiana’s cooking!” “Me too!” Clyde agreed. “I heard they’re going to put on a song and dance performance too!” Anne informed them. “That I look forward to!” Sprig got excited. “Same!” Lilo chimed in, Stitch nodding in agreement. “I’m just excited to experience everything,” Little Cato sported a wide grin. “I’m with Cato on this,” Lincoln spoke up. “Uh huh!” Manny and Frida had eager expressions on their faces. Darwin couldn’t contain his excitement either. “That’s great! Maybe when we meet back up together, we can talk about how much we enjoyed the event!” All the friends nodded in agreement. “Attention, everyone!” DJ Suki announced through the microphone, alerting the entire club. “The time is now 5:45 pm. The Tropical T will be closing in 10 minutes due to the Captain’s Dinner Night approaching. The entire club will be cleared out by then, so make sure to get in touch with your family members so they’ll know. Again, the Tropical T will be closing in 10 minutes!” At that, all the youths in the club either got out their phones to message their families or stopped whatever they were doing to get ready to leave. Even the workers were tidying everything up so they could head out. “Well, Darwin and I have to pick up Anais from the Kids Kove so we can meet up with our parents,” Gumball told everyone. “And we have to go get Polly,” Sprig spoke for Anne and himself. “I have to get my sister Hazel from there as well,” Mikey admitted. “I’m getting Lucy, Lana, Lola, and Lisa.” Lincoln chimed in. “I’ll be right by your side, Linc.” Clyde told his best friend. The remaining friends - Little Cato, Lilo, Stitch, Manny, and Frida - nodded in understanding as the whole group got up from their seats. “By the way,” Frida spoke up. “Do you all want to meet up at the arcade after the dinner event?” “Yeah!” All the friends affirmed. “Alright then, it’s a deal!” The Tropical T youths left right out as Wander and Star held the doors open on both sides, waving to everyone passing through. “Farewell, you all!” “See you later!”, Anais and her new friends were engaging in an exciting game on the play ship inside the Play Area. She had the amazing idea of combining both the tea party and sea ship games since she didn’t want to choose one over the other. Now, all the kids were having a blast! “The octopus is blocking our path!” Anais exclaimed as she held up a pretend map. “And he’s about to attack us!” Most of the children pretended to scream in terror at the orange octopus figurine. “Is this the end?” Lucy commented. “Will we be swallowed by the dark depths of the ocean?” “Not helping, Lucy!” Lola scolded as she and the other tea party girls took cover with the dark-haired 8-year-old on the lower level. “Not if we can help it!” Hazel displayed a hard look of determination as she readied her toy archer’s bow. “Guards, assemble!” Adorabat and Polly immediately stood by her on either side, the former with her toy sword and the latter with a toy flail. “Hit him with all you got!” Lana commanded as she pointed at the large figurine while holding onto her hat tightly. The three girls saluted her. “Yes, Captain!” They threw every attack they could at the sea beast, putting up quite an aggressive (imaginary) fight. Once they finished the job, Hazel, Adorabat, and Polly held up their toy weapons proudly. “The sea monster is down!” All the children on the play ship rejoiced as they were saved from certain doom. “And look!” Anais pointed to the left side where the spacious floor of the Play Area laid. “We made it to our destination!” “Land, ho!” Lana waved her red hat around in excitement. Every kid who took up space either atop or below the toy ship exited out, relieved that they made it through their perilous journey on the sea. “Now the animals can have a new home!” Antonio smiled as he sat all the animal plushies down with his friend Lee. “And we can set up our new tea and treats shop!” Lola held up a toy tea pot triumphantly. “Right, guys?” “Right!” Agnes, Jessica, Cream, and Cheese nodded as they carried their plushies and tea party items. Lucy came forward with her book of poetry. “I just came up with a new poem. I call it Voyage:A dark, perilous voyage on the seaHas filled us with unrest, terror, and fear. But we carried on and survived to the end, On this new land, we all cheer.” All the listeners clapped for Lucy, putting a slight smile on her face. “That was amazing, Lucy.” Anais commended her before turning to Lana. “It’s a miracle we made it this far, Captain!” “It sure is!” Lana grinned as she watched all the passengers celebrate. “And it was all thanks to our teamwork!” Camilo, who witnessed the whole thing on the sidelines, clapped in amazement. “Alright! That was quite a show you all put on! Your acting is almost as good as mine’s.” All the children giggled at the supervisor’s praise when the speaker on the ceiling came to life. “Attention, everyone.” Fluttershy’s soft voice announced through the room. “The time is now 5:45 pm and the Kids Kove will be closing in 10 minutes due to the Captain’s Dinner Night approaching.” All the children in the Play Area moaned in displeasure as their fun was cut short. “But don’t worry,” The manager reassured as if she could sense their distress. “The club will open back up at 9 pm afterwards so you can come back and have all the fun you want with your new friends.” The youths cheered up a little at this piece of news. “Again, the Kids Kove will be closing in 10 minutes, so make sure to clean up after yourselves so you’ll be ready when your family members arrive to pick you up. ” Camilo clapped his hands together as the speaker shut off, catching everyone’s attention. “Well, you all heard the boss. Time to clean up, niños y niñas .” Anais and Lana stepped down from the play ship to tidy up with their friends when a buzz in the pink rabbit’s sundress pocket caught her attention, prompting her to pull out her cell phone and read a message her mom sent in the family group chat about meeting at the club’s front doors. She texted back with an ‘okay’ before getting to work. It wasn’t long before Steven opened one of the double doors once the Play Area was orderly. “Anais, Polly, Hazel, Lucy, Lana, and Lola.” The half-human, half-gem called out. The six girls followed after the teenage boy as their friends (who were kept occupied with The Lion King movie while waiting for their families to get them) bid them farewell, including Camilo. “See you later,” the shapeshifter supervisor gave them a little wave. The girls caught sight of Lisa standing by the front desk as they entered the entrance area. She joined her sisters as they all headed for the front doors. “Goodbye for now,” Fluttershy waved to them along with Angel Bunny as Steven held one of the glass doors open. “Goodbye,” Anais waved back. “Thanks again for the tour!” The pegasus smiled softly while the 16-year-old lightly chuckled. “Anytime.” “You’re welcome!”, “They’re all yours!” Steven addressed the tweens and teens who waited patiently for their younger siblings in the busy hallway filled with children reuniting with their loved ones. Lucy, Lana, Lola, and Lisa eagerly surrounded Lincoln and Clyde, Mikey spun around with Hazel in his arms, Polly gave Anne and Sprig respective high fives, and Anais beamed brightly as she strolled over to Gumball and Darwin. “So,” the 12-year-old cat spoke first. “How did it go?” The small pink rabbit gazed at her brothers with excitement in her eyes. “I loved it!” Both the Watterson brothers' eyes widened in astonishment. “Really?!” “That’s great!” Anais continued in an animated manner about her time in the club, from the tour she was taken on to the fun games she played with her new friends. Even the other kids chimed in to share their own stories. “We were playing a game called sea adventures on this large play ship!” Lana brought up. Lincoln raised an eyebrow in amusement. “Is that so?” “Me and my tea party friends provided refreshments for the crew and fellow passengers too,” Lola added. “Sounds cool,” Clyde grinned. “Things started to get more deadly along the way,” Lucy grimly recalled. “The waves got pretty rough and a giant octopus tried to destroy us.” Hazel had a bold expression on her face. “But we beat him up!” Polly nodded as she acted out some fighting moves. “We showed that sucker who’s boss!” Mikey ruffled Hazel’s hair affectionately while Anne and Sprig giggled at Polly’s typical aggressiveness. “That’s what I’m talking about!” The box turtle commended his adoptive sister. Lisa adjusted her glasses as she took her turn to speak. “As for me, I took the liberty of exploring the Book Area of the club,” She glanced at Anais with a slight smile. “And I made an arrangement to join Anais in the Science Lab later.” The 4-year-old rabbit was definitely looking forward to that. “Sounds like you all had just as much fun as we did!” Gumball fondly remarked. “Kids, we’re here!” A voice caught the Watterson children’s attention, which happened to belong to their mother. She and their dad met up with them at the front doors of the kids clubs like they promised. “Mom! Dad!” The three siblings greeted their parents. “Hey, Mr. and Mrs. Watterson!” Anne waved to the couple along with Lincoln, Clyde, and Lana (this was the trio’s first time meeting Richard). Nicole warmly smiled at the four kids. “Hello again!” She noticed the extra children standing alongside them. “Hm, I don’t think we met you guys yet.” Lincoln introduced the rest of his younger sisters (Lucy, Lola, and Lisa) while Anne introduced Sprig and Polly as her sibling figures. Even Mikey and Hazel got a chance to acquaint themselves with Nicole and Richard. “We promised each other that we would meet up again after the dinner event,” Darwin cheerfully informed. “Wow! You must have really enjoyed the clubs,” Nicole gave a bemused smirk. “We sure did!” Anais confirmed. Nicole and Richard were outright shocked to hear that from their youngest child. Social situations were something she’s always struggled with, so to hear her say she had a great time in the Kids Kove in the absence of her brothers was definitely saying something. “Oh! We need a picture before we leave!” Darwin realized. “Can you take it on my phone, Mrs. Mom? I’m going to send it to everyone on our group chat!” The blue cat woman grabbed her middle child’s cell phone. “Sure, sweetie!” “Oh yeah!” Mikey agreed. “Let’s do it, baby!” “C’mon, you guys!” Anne beckoned Sprig and Polly. “Older siblings in the back, younger siblings in front,” Lincoln instructed as the group of kids assembled against the wall that laid between the entryways of the Kids Kove and Tropical T. “Everyone ready?” Gumball asked. “Yeah!” “Okay!” Richard gave a thumbs up. “Everybody say ‘Seven Seas!’” “Seven Seas!” The youths smiled brightly as the picture was taken a few times. They immediately broke apart to go their separate ways. “We’ll see you guys later!” Gumball waved to their friends. “See ya!” Mikey waved back as Hazel clung onto his right arm. “Later, dudes!” Anne saluted as Sprig and Polly followed her. Lincoln and Clyde strolled with Lucy, Lana, Lola, and Lisa as they gave their own farewells too. “Bye!” “Goodbye for now!” Anais got her own share of farewells from her Kids Kove friends. “Bye, Anais!” They said simultaneously. The 4-year-old rabbit was absolutely touched. “Bye, you guys!” The Watterson family proceeded to make their way through the Deck 5 hallways to retreat to their cabin on Deck 8. “By the way,” Gumball spoke up. “Where did you two get those pineapple drinks?” The eldest child gestured to the beverages his parents were holding. “It’s an interesting story actually,” Richard began. Each of the members exchanged details about their leisure activities, from Nicole and Richard spending quality time together to Gumball, Darwin, and Anais at the respective kids’ clubs. They had a feeling this cruise vacation was only going to get better from there....

Hail HYDRA
Admin @bluelight439 here. I want to point out that it has become a lot harder for me to accept art submissions to this group. It is because of the Eclipse layout being forced on us. The old layout used to show me notifications about art submissions to this group in my notifications perfectly fine. But the Eclipse layout doesn't show art submissions to this group anywhere in my notifications. (To other contributers in this group; I have been using this page https://www.deviantart.com/the-gumball-fans/messages/?log_type=1 to accept submissions after the Eclipse layout being forced on us. Having to check this page to accept art submissions everytime is very bothersome for me. The lack of notifications suck, it was much easier when I was getting notifications.) And I am noticing that the other users who are in control of this group aren't doing much either...I feel that I am left alone...and running a group alone in this horrible Eclipse layout is so hard for me... If your art submissions don't get accepted in time, I'm sorry, it's not your fault, it's Eclipse layout's fault... I hope dA staff fix this problem soon. I miss the previous dA layout so much... If anyone would like to become a co-founder to help me with this issue, I'd be glad. These are required if you want to become a co-founder; * You have to be a TAWOG fan or at least like TAWOG. * You have to have dA group moderating/running experiences. * You have to have joined dA in 2018 or earlier. It is harder to trust new users for me. * You have to be a member. Someone who has been a member even before I posted this journal. It is harder to trust non-members for me. That's all I guess... Or if you know any other way to help me about this, please tell me. Edit: Solved! Edit 2: It is actually still hard for me to run this group alone. I still often fail to accept art submissions in time before they expire (If I don't accept art submissions in a week they expire, a lot of the time I can't do it in time. If your art doesn't get accepted it's not your fault, it's because I failed to accept it in time before your art submission expired). I am still accepting co-founders, I'm annoyed at running this group alone. Edit 3: I can't do this anymore. I am going to transfer the ownership to someone else. Edit 4 8.09.2022: DeviantArt is now properly notifying about art submissions so this problem is solved I guess.
